One episode in . . .
I am so relieved to have the first episode out. Warts and all. When you start with the entry level stuff, and the audience looks passed it to enjoy the players and the story fills my cup. I can not express enough how thankful I am that people enjoyed the story. It makes me feel great about releasing episodes 2 and 3. Each session we get better. And each session we learn new things. And now the heavy lifting begins. First off, I need to push all the right buttons on Twitch. I missed the one to record the video. :D No real worries, as we did a live premier on YouTube too. An inconvenience, but one that shouldn’t be there in the future. The budget is limited, so we have to figure out which technical aspect to tackle first. There are areas of improvement in audio and visual. And of course comes phase two of 503rpg: a live broadcast. Vaesen is online, because I really, really wanted to have Sam in the group. They are a great player, but they live too far away to commute. So Zoom it is. But can I launch a second game on the same shoestring budget? I think so. No spoilers, but I think the gritty video and discordant audio might just fit into the second game. We’ll see. In the meantime I continue to fidget with the various free software titles I am using for the broadcast, hoping that it magically makes my entry level mic and camera overperform. I cast MIRACLE!
Once again, thanks to all who watched and cheered on. I promise you we have many great stories to tell. My team is eager to make them happen. I hope we can bring some joy and inspiration to your lives. Take care, and be safe!
